The bowls & platters gallery has work available, suitable for use in the kitchen and on the table. These include fruit bowls, salad bowls and wooden platters.

The art vessels gallery contains my more artistic collection of work for sale.

You may note that some of my work features in both of these galleries. As I enjoy making pieces that are both functional and artwork in their own right.

The wood I use.  A lot of the wood I use (in particular the New Zealand native Pohutukawa, Kanuka and Puriri) are sustainably sourced from Kawau Island where I live and have my studio.

Why choose a contemporary sculpture by Gavin Brunton

• Unique character – No two vessels are ever the same.

• Durable craftsmanship – Native hardwoods are chosen for strength and longevity, developing a rich, natural patina over time.

• Natural finishes – Oil and wax blends protect and enhance the wood’s texture while remaining safe and tactile.

• Generational longevity – With care, these pieces will last a lifetime and hopefully become cherished heirlooms.

Perfect for modern art sculpture collectors, interior design décor, or anyone seeking a meaningful object that embodies both art and nature.

Contemporary wood art vessel – A sculptural centrepiece for modern interiors

Designed for collectors, homeowners, and interior designers seeking contemporary sculpture that feels grounded in nature, every piece combines timeless craftsmanship with innovation. Whether displayed as a statement art piece in a home, as corporate art or in a reception space, each vessel captures a sense of strength and living history.
